ikon project managed the extensive refurbishment of an existing banking hall space in a very high profile location in the City of London to provide 1300 sq m of Grade A quality open plan office space over five levels and a commercial restaurant/bar at ground floor and basement. The project included full external refurbishment, new replacement windows; along with significant demolition and structural alterations to provide a new level access reception area and access core including the installation of two new dedicated passenger lifts.
ikon’s brief was to optimise net lettable space and floor to ceiling heights, whilst still providing high quality space with fully flexible raised access floor systems and air conditioning installations and to accommodate lettings on a multi-tenant basis.
Due to the confined nature of the site, restrictions imposed by CoL and the construction of the property at the rear (by a separate developer) logistics and co-ordination with all parties was paramount.
