ikon led the funding submission of proposals from the clients for the English Partnerships’ (now HCA) First-time Buyers Initiative, a programme to boost the supply of new homes to the market for first time buyers. The commission included briefing clients on the EP requirements; assessment of risks and benefits; assistance in selecting projects; and completing and submitting the bid document and scheme appraisals. ikon then led the conclusion of commercial terms.
ikon’s role included liaison with English Partnerships (now HCA) ahead of the bid submission, to outline the contribution and added value that housing associations could bring to the initiative. ikon then invited housing associations to join the bid, and worked with the client to secure funding.
