Larner Road, Regeneration

Larner Road is an existing development of over 600 homes in seven tower blocks transferred to Orbit South from the London Borough of Bexley in 1998. ikon is working with Orbit, the Homes and Communities Agency and LB of Bexley to deliver a new mixed tenure community which offers benefits to the existing residents alongside delivering a new and popular market for purchasers. The vision includes: re-provision of new affordable homes and homes for market sale; excellent design and exacting sustainability standards; maximised environmental site attributes; a new first class management service across the new community and tenures; increased links with Erith town centre; and integration with the wider community.

ikon Consultancy’s role is to work with the client to provide strategic development expertise and day to day resources to deliver the necessary range of pre development services. Ikon has worked with the wider project team including Orbit South, LB of Bexley, the HCA and the GLA.

At this stage ikon’s role is to deliver Development Management expertise working with the project team to deliver effective procurement of necessary site due diligence and major consultant commissions. Our work will extend to delivering cost modelling and evaluation procurement of a contractor/ developer partner, securing planning and working with the client to position the project for future funding.
