Tanners Hill is a mixed tenure scheme in Lewisham, South London which will provide 39 affordable homes (22 affordable rented and 17 shared ownership). The site is located adjacent to the London to Kent mainline railway which has meant detailed discussion with Network Rail to secure a scheme and construction sequence which will not affect the rail infrastructure. This included detailed discussion and design development for the foundations of the homes so that Network Rail's substantial Victorian retaining wall bordering the site was not disturbed.
The client appointed ikon to project manage the scheme, the brief includes: co-ordinating re-mobilisation of the site with a new contractor team; liaison with the client team to ensure requirements are incorporated into the design; financial appraisal of the scheme; co-ordination of information for social housing grant submission; liaison with other consultants and client representative on the construction delivery team; and liaison with third parties including Network Rail and private land owners.
