The Quadrant is a mixed tenure scheme in Stockwell, South London, comprising 271 affordable homes (193 affordable rented and 78 shared ownership), nine commercial units and a basement car park, which also provides associated cycle and refuse facilities for the homes. The scheme incorporates a number of energy saving elements, such as solar panels to boost hot water systems, water saving measures within the design, increased insulation within the building fabric and green roofs.

ikon’s role is to project manage the scheme, including: liaison with the client to team to ensure requirments are incorporated into the design; technical due diligence on the scheme, financial appraisal of the schemes; coordination of information for social housing grant submission; and liaison with other consultants and client representatives on the construction delivery team.

The client amended the tenure of some of the homes to reduce exposure to the private residential market. Ikon produced an Implementation Plan and Programme to manage and co-ordinate the submission of a bid to the Homes and Communities Agency, which was completed successfully.
